Among other things, the Control Tower can perform the following tasks

• Coordination of shipments and carriers: the Control Tower plans and coordinates the various shipments and ensures that our drivers and our charters are on time and at the right location.
• Coordination of your packaging flows: the Control Tower plans and coordinates your packaging flows with the goal of minimizing inventory, saving costs, improving operational efficiency and promoting sustainability. By having the right packaging in the right place at the right time, your logistics processes can run faster and more effectively. This saves you time and money.
• Real-time tracking and monitoring: the Control Tower keeps track of shipments in real-time and makes adjustments where necessary. The Control Tower interfaces with our Driver-APP and Customer-APP and provides real-time communication with our vehicles and the Live Track & Trace solution.
• Proactively respond to changes: if delays or other problems occur, the Control Tower can respond quickly and provide alternative solutions to ensure shipments arrive on time.
• Insight into your inventory: the Control Tower interfaces with our SolidWMS (Warehouse Management System) WMS. This gives you live insight into your inventories, items, inbound and outbound orders and expected arrival times of your incoming goods.
• Link with online platforms: the Control Tower links with most online transportation platforms. Smart use of these platforms gives us access to a wide network of logistics partners for shipments throughout Europe which will lead to optimization and streamlining of your and our logistics processes. This can lead to great cost savings and improved efficiency. Platforms we link with include: Teleroute, TimoCom and Transporeon.
